The SIRIOS project was funded in 2003 by CERT-Bund, the German
governmental CERT which is a part of "Bundesamt fuer Sicherheit in der
Informationstechnik (BSI)".
As a sub project of OTRS.org SIRIOS meets the specific needs of CERTs
and security teams. Therefor the application framework provides several
modules with a main focus on incident management and vulnerability handling.
The core system of SIRIOS is based on OTRS, the leading open-source
trouble ticket system. OTRS is a modular application framework which
supports all kinds of service delivery and communication processes
towards external and internal customers.
SIRIOS is freely available under the GNU General Public License (GPL).
